วันอังคารที่ 25 มิถุนายน 2567 เวลา 09.00 น. รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วีระพล ทองมา อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหาร ผู้อำนวยการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ให้การต้อนรับผู้บริหารและเจ้าหน้าที่จากหน่วยงานปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นจากสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี (ประเทศเกาหลีใต้) จำนวน 34 คน ซึ่งได้เดินทางมาศึกษาดูงานด้านการจัดการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืนของจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และได้รับฟังบรรยายพิเศษโดยอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ เรื่องทิศทางและแนวคิดในการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืนของมหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ พร้อมกันนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ได้ร่วมลงนามในข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการเพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนด้านการท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืนกับหน่วยงานปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นจากสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี (ประเทศเกาหลีใต้) ดังนี้

On June 25, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, along with university executives and the Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chiang Mai Province, welcomed 34 executives and officials from local administrative agencies of the Republic of Korea (South Korea). The delegation traveled to study sustainable tourism management in Chiang Mai Province and attended a special lecture by the President of Maejo University on the university’s direction and concepts for promoting sustainable tourism. Additionally, Maejo University signed Memorandum of Understandings to promote the exchange of sustainable tourism practices with the following local administrative agencies from the Republic of Korea (South Korea):
